We provide locally grown, wholesome, organic greens and vegetables to our local community, restaurants and retail stores.

From the very beginning Metro Organics Urban Farm was about growing good organic produce and supplying our local community, restaurants and retail stores.

Most people have lost touch with what comes and goes with the seasons. It is also relatively difficult when living in a country as large as ours, as we have so many different climates to think of!  Eating LOCAL from local farmers insures this.

We often get asked “is it all Organic” and all we say is that we have a policy whereby we ONLY stock Organic! This explains why on occasion the variety is not all it is at the moment. Until such time as more farmers convert to organic growing – and growing variety – we will have to make do with what is available until the times change. 

The model of most market gardens is to supply set boxes to the public or to have a market stand either on the farm or nearby. So we are thrilled to have our Metro Organics store as our outlet, as it is literally “up the road”. 

The fact that it is so close should also be an invitation for our customers to come and check out how we grow food and soak up the farm. Our gates are always open, however there is also Noordhoek Open Gardens coming up and that would be supporting many local ventures – see our previous post for info. Pop by!
